Biography:

Marta Gwizdala, an artist originally from Poland (additionally, with Ukrainian roots from her great-grandmother), living in Chicago for a while, and now residing in Wisconsin for several years, has been passionate about painting since the age of 4. Her artistic journey began with winning her first art competition at the age of 10, which awarded her a trip to Paris. Despite initially training to become a diplomat, Marta chose to pursue a career in art, encouraged by her supportive husband and family. Specializing in mixed media art, she excels in creating 3D textured acrylic pieces combined with epoxy resin and various other materials.

From the tender age of four, Marta Gwizdala embarked on her artistic journey, honing her skills and passion for painting throughout her formative years until the age of 19. Notably, at the age of 10, she achieved a significant milestone by winning a prestigious painting competition. Her captivating depiction of the old town in Warsaw earned her a remarkable prize—a trip to Paris. This experience held profound significance for Marta, particularly as it symbolized a cherished opportunity amidst the challenges of post-Communist Poland. Grateful for the unwavering support of her father, who facilitated her journey with a hard-to-obtain passport, Marta set forth on her path to realizing her dreams as an artist. During her pursuit of a master's degree in international relations, Marta found herself drawn to the allure of the United States, particularly captivated by its culture and way of life. It was during this time in Chicago that she not only delved into her academic endeavors but also discovered love. Her romance with her now-husband blossomed, becoming an integral part of her journey as an artist. Encouraged by her husband's unwavering support, Marta's artistic endeavors flourished. Recently, Marta and her husband made the decision to relocate from Chicago to Cedarburg, where they have resided for the past two years, embracing new opportunities and further nurturing Marta's artistic pursuits.

In her free time, Marta enjoys spending time with her husband, inline skating, kayaking, watching anime and TV series, trying new art hobbies, biking, swimming and playing board games.
